Internships working with Marcia Knight, ASID and Connie Vernich, Allied ASID, at B. Wilker & Co. in the field of residential design. Performed such jobs as fabric and color selection, hand rendering and elevation drawing, assistance on client meetings, taking field measurements, space planning, & furniture selection.
Ballroom Dance Instructor, Dancequest, LLC, Nashville, TN – 2005-2010
Part-time job while attending college in which I trained professionally in ballroom dancing and took on personal clients for private instruction as well as group instruction. Taught me the importance of great customer service and the intricacies of working with individuals on a one-on-one basis while also assessing and fulfilling their needs and wishes. Provided training in the practice of selling an intangible idea or skill.

Position of sales associate in the Contemporary Ladies’ Clothing department of Dillard’s Department Store. Prepared me for a job in product display and merchandising, sales and style consulting.

Scholarship Recipient – Pro2Serv Project
School sponsored scholarship given to select group of students after completion of a team project for Pro2Serv Engineering Firm, Oak Ridge, TN. Interior furniture & accessories were selected and space planning was figured for the firm’s executive offices and reception lobby. Project presented to the Dean of the College of Education & Behavioral Sciences, MTSU professors of Interior Design and Pro2Serv CFO, Paul Martin.
